In Round 33 of the EuroLeague, Fenerbahce will host Barcelona at Ulker Sports Arena.

Surprisingly, the Turkish champions have found themselves in contention for the top spot in the standings, while the visitors are fighting for a crucial Top 6 finish.

Fenerbahce will play their third straight EuroLeague game in front of their home fans.

Thanks to a string of Olympiacos losses, they suddenly have a shot at finishing first in the standings before the playoffs.

It’s all in their hands now—if they win their last two games against Barcelona and Bayern, they’ll lock up the top spot.

Last week, they picked up two big wins in tight games against Paris and Baskonia. The matchup with Paris went down to the wire, with Nigel Hayes-Davis hitting a buzzer-beating three to seal the win.

The game against Baskonia was more comfortable, finishing 82-77, though the score doesn’t quite reflect how in control Fenerbahce were, as they held a double-digit lead for most of the night.

Hayes-Davis once again led the way with 17 points, while Guduric and Hall added 10 each.

With a heroic performance in Milan in the final round of the EuroLeague, Barcelona secured a massive win, bouncing back from a disappointing loss to Bayern just two days earlier.

Not only did this victory all but guarantee their spot in the Top 10, but it also put a direct rival in a tough position.

It was one of those nights when Dario Brizuela looked unstoppable. The Spanish guard dropped 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting, while Kevin Punter was right behind him with 25 points on 7-of-13 from the field.

The game also saw a breakout performance from 18-year-old Dame Sarr, who made the most of his 18 minutes on the court, scoring 13 points.

Since then, Barcelona have kept the momentum going with a 93-86 win over Joventut in the Catalan derby, heading to Istanbul in great spirits for their clash with Fenerbahce.

In their first meeting this season, Barcelona handed Fenerbahce one of their toughest losses, dominating 90-63. Kevin Punter stole the show that night, dropping 25 points.
